Duct repair and sealing

A large share of the homes we service are losing serious conditioned air before it ever reaches a room — disconnected boots, torn flex, crushed runs, panned returns pulling attic air. You feel it as a room that never cools, a system that runs constantly, and a bill that does not match the house.

What we find most often

  • Flex duct separated at the boot or the plenum, dumping air into an attic or crawlspace
  • Runs crushed under storage or kinked around framing
  • Missing or failed mastic at every joint, with tape that gave up years ago
  • Returns pulling unconditioned air from a crawlspace or attic
  • Insulation stripped or soaked, so the duct sweats and then rots

How we repair it

  • Pressure test the system and locate losses, with photos
  • Reconnect, support and strap runs properly instead of taping over the symptom
  • Seal joints with mastic, not tape alone
  • Replace damaged sections and failed insulation
  • Retest and show you the before and after numbers

“I bought a house from previous owners who never cleaned the system. The results are night and day!”

“They provided a detailed and clear written analysis with pics for our information! Definitely above the rest of those competitors out there.”

Questions about duct repair

Is sealing ducts cheaper than a bigger system?

Almost always, and it is the right order of operations. Fixing leakage first often means the replacement system can be correctly sized instead of oversized to compensate.
